benevolent . luxe . trendy
I am also a New York actor, producer and writer. I am the founder of the independent production company 3rd Culture Productions.
For my acting-related work and inquiries:
NudeCoat in 3 words?
Benevolent. Luxe. Trends. We believe in benevolence, love luxury and set trends.
Why the name NudeCoat?
When I launched this blog the first time around it focused on minimalism and simplicity specifically in fashion. So the oxymoron of NudeCoat fit perfectly. But as I've grown and travelled the world and experienced New York more, so have my interests. My hard-earned dollars are more aligned with cultural, artistic expression and having an impact on my community.
Where you always in the creative industries?
Nope, not at all. I went to college in Australia for a BA in Accounting. I worked in the asset management & financial services sector for a hot, messy minute before I started my acting career at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in NYC.
(Wanna snoop?--> www.kelemogotsi.com).
What countries have you lived in?
About 100! In chronological order, I've lived in Gaborone, London, Beijing, Pretoria, Durban, Johannesburg, Melbourne, Rennes, Nairobi and presently New York. Hang on, those are all cities. I've traveled to over 40 countries. I've lived in every continent except South America. Hmm, where in South America should I pack to up next?
Why did you call your production company 3rd Culture Productions and what are you working on?
I'm a true third-culture kid. As a diplo-brat, I've lived in every continent except (for now) South America. And being such a global nomad, I really understand how it is to have a home everywhere and yet, not have a home anywhere. So naturally the term "third-culture" was fitting and encompassed who I really am. Coming from two very heavily male-dominated industries, I set up the company because I wanted to see more content produced by and with women. Right now, I'm producing a few projects with an all-female crew and I have 2 feature-length films with bad-ass female protagonists in the works.
